Dr. Jay Burton
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Jay Burton is a Tennessee native who grew up a couple of hours outside of Nashville in McKenzie, TN. He is an orthodontist serving the areas of Madison, Goodlettsville, Nashville and Hendersonville, TN.
He completed his undergraduate education at Bethel University and earned an MBA from University of Tennessee at Martin, before achieving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Louisville. While in dental school, Dr. Burton served as class president and conducted dental mission work in Belize and the Philippines.Dr. Burton subsequently completed his Orthodontic Residency at the prestigious New York University (NYU) in Manhattan, before achieving Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

Aside from his passion for braces and making healthy smiles, Dr. Burton enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their young daughter Nora Lynn. They have two dogs, Willa and Dylan, plus a cat named Atlas.He occupies whatever leisure time remains with reading, running, mountain biking, water sports and golf.

Practice Manager
Hi, my name is Presley and I am the Practice Manager at SmileMaker Orthodontics. As Practice Manager, it is my job to ensure that each patient receives the best orthodontic treatment from our clinical staff and excellent customer service from our administrative staff.
I also want to make sure that our orthodontic office is fun and that our staff stays active in community events. We love the community of Gallatin and Sumner County! If you ever have any suggestions about braces or anything else, feel free to contact me! I am always open to new ideas and learning new things.
Karson
Orthodontic Guest Relations Coordinator
My name is Karson and I am the Orthodontic Guest Relations Coordinator for SmileMaker Orthodontics. I will be the smiling face you see when you come into the office. I take pride in providing our patients a relaxed and comfortable environment so they always have a positive orthodontic experience.
My favorite part of my job is giving someone confidence in their smile, whether that involves braces or clear aligners (Invisalign, Ulab, Suresmile, etc.). I love Nashville and that many of our braces patients are from Hendersonville, Madison and Goodlettsville. We love the many communities we serve as an orthodontist office.

Patient Treatment Coordinator
My name is Courtney and I am the Treatment Coordinator at SmileMaker Orthodontics. I am also a Registered Dental Assistant. It is my focus to make sure our patients have the best experience possible from their first steps into our office until they are finished with their treatment.
I love that my job allows me to meet new people in the Hendersonville, Nashville, and Goodlettsville areas and help them achieve a healthy, beautiful smile that ultimately changes their lives.

Hello! My name is Melissa. You can find me making sure that your braces and clear aligner needs are taken care of from the moment you walk in the door, until you are finished with your appointment!
I enjoy helping our braces and aligner patients with any orthodontic issues they have. My favorite thing about being an orthodontic assistant is seeing our patients smiles and self-confidence transform. I love living and working in the Nashville and Rivergate area and working with Dr Burton. He is the best orthodontist in East Nashville and Hendersonville!
