Dr. Jay B. Burton, Nashville Orthodontist
Dr. Jay B. Burton is a Tennessee native who grew up a couple of hours outside of Nashville in McKenzie.

He completed his undergraduate education at Bethel University and earned an MBA from University of Tennessee at Martin, before achieving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Louisville. While in dental school, Dr. Burton served as class president and conducted dental mission work in Belize and the Philippines.

Dr. Burton subsequently completed his Orthodontic Residency at the prestigious New York University (NYU) in Manhattan, before achieving Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

Aside from his passion for making healthy smiles, Dr. Burton enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their young children,  Nora, Baker and Charlotte. They have a dog, Willa, 3 fish, and a lizard named Diamond Lightning McQueen.

He occupies whatever leisure time remains with reading, running, mountain biking, water sports and golf.

Which do you prefer, sweet or salty foods?  Salty.  I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth.  Premium saltine crackers are my favorite. I know…booorrring.

What is your favorite television program?  House of Cards is probably my favorite currently.  Breaking Bad was also a great show!

Are you a collector of anything?  I’m a collector of most things.  Honestly, I’m not very good at throwing things away.  You just never know when you’re gonna need something.

What’s your favorite color?  Green.  I love the Spring, when the weather changes, all the trees are budding and the grass begins to grow – so much fun!

What’s your favorite animal?  Bald Ealgle.  When I was a kid, I always thought it would be cool to fly.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?  I want to go to the Amalfi coast.  I’ve heard amazing things about it and would love to travel there someday.

What’s your favorite song of all time?  Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey.

What would be your dream job?  I’ve got it.  I can’t imagine anything else I’d rather be doing.  I honestly can’t believe that I get to wake up every morning and help people smile.  It is truly a blessing!
